Independent Seafoods Shipping & Store Policy

Shipping Schedule

• We ship Monday through Thursday only. No shipments Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, since fresh seafood cannot sit over a weekend in transit.

• Order cut-off: 4:00 PM E.S.T. for same-day shipping. Orders placed after the cut-off ship the next available shipping day.

• Blackout dates: We do not ship during the week of Thanksgiving or week of Christmas . Orders placed during these periods will ship the following available Monday–Thursday window.

• Carrier: UPS Next Day Air / Priority Overnight.

Order & Contact Requirements

• A valid physical address is required — we do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

• A valid phone number where you can be reached is required. We call to confirm orders, especially if your shipping and billing addresses differ.

• If we cannot reach you to confirm, we will not ship your order. Please provide a number you'll actually answer.

• Our team is available by phone until 4:00 PM for order questions or changes.

Packaging

• Shipping/handling charges include a reusable styrofoam cooler and gel packs to keep your seafood cold and fresh in transit.

 

Weather Advisory

Please check the weather along your shipping route before your ship date. Severe weather (blizzards, storms, floods, tornadoes, etc.) affecting your delivery area — or the regions surrounding our shipping hubs — can delay delivery:

 

If you choose to proceed with shipping despite known weather risk and your package is delayed, damaged, or spoiled as a result, we are unable to issue a refund or replacement, and UPS does not provide compensation for this either. We strongly encourage checking the forecast before selecting your ship date.
