Independent Seafoods has been providing fresh and frozen seafood to South Florida’s finest restaurants, hotels, country clubs, and food-service institutions since 1972.


We are a minority owned, privately held, family-operated business entering its second generation of ownership. We pride ourselves on providing the best service and highest quality seafood available at competitive prices.


Our team consists of 60 men and women whose experience in the seafood business ranges from one to 36 years. We use our collective knowledge to help our customer’s train their staff on the different varieties of seafood, give advice on menu planning, availability of product and offer any additional support our client’s may require.


Our facility is located in West Palm Beach, Florida, and consists of a 15,000-square-foot refrigerated warehouse, specially designed to handle perishable products. We are equipped with a refrigerated processing room, refrigerated storage coolers, walk-in freezers, blast freezers, two four-thousand-gallon lobster tanks, and shaved-ice machines that produce up to 16 tons of ice per day.


Our processing plant is HAACP approved, and we follow a HAACP plan that is designed to assure that our customers receive the freshest and highest quality seafood available. We are regularly inspected by the FDA, the Florida Department of Agriculture and 3rd party audited by NSF. In addition to our regular inspections and in order to maintain the highest level of quality, we implement random inspection of outgoing orders prior to loading onto our refrigerated delivery trucks.


We currently service an area from Key West to Gainesville on the East Coast of Florida and from Fort Myers to Naples on Florida’s West Coast. We operate on the East Coast of Florida seven days a week and the West Coast six days a week. We utilize 17 refrigerated trucks to service these areas. In addition to our local delivery service we air ship and truck product around the country as well as the Caribbean. We add additional resources to our routes, as the need arises, to maintain a high standard of service.


Over the years, our customers have come to rely on us to supply a consistent variety of seafood. Because we are only as good as our suppliers, we have spent decades creating strong relationships with steady, reliable vendors, which in turn enable us to consistently meet our customers needs. Product dependability and reliability is essential in a highly perishable industry such as this, and Independent Seafood can be depended on to provide the best and freshest product, regardless of when you place an order.
